Mt.
Olive East Church of GodWelcome to Mt. Olive East Church of God (MOE). In 1999
MOE began in the eastern portion of Cleveland, Tennessee as
a church birthed out of Mt. Olive Central in Cleveland,
under the Head Pastor of Mt. Olive Central Church of God,
Rev. Gary Sears. Dr. Oliver McMahan, a Senior
Associate Pastor at Mt. Olive Central, supervised the MOE
project, with Rev. Shea Hughes, serving as the founding
Pastor. In 2004, Dr. McMahan became the Head Pastor of
MOE when Rev. Hughes moved to pastor in Memphis.
MOE is in the heart of Cleveland, for the heart of

MOE celebrates the Fishes & Loaves and Family and Youth
Center, as well as the MOE McKenzie Family Park and all the
buildings and property the Lord has provided. The
story of God’s provision is an amazing one. The Lord
has used donors in and outside of MOE for the building of
the new facilities. The ministries that the buildings
and park have been provided for have been sustained and
continued to grow as a result of a family spirit, led by the
Heavenly, in which there is a volunteer spirit and reality.
Attending MOE is an experience of involvement, love and
caring; Christianity in action.
Thank you everyone for coming and celebrating what God is
Doing at MOE!
